ImagineArts ("we", "us") provides the Flourish Through the Arts course, The Salon
membership, community and library, the A Year with the Muses ebook, and free tools such as Voices of the
Muses, Muse Match and the ArtSmart IQ Challenge. ImagineArts is part of a family of wellbeing brands
created by Dr Alten du Plessis and runs on the FlourishIQ platform. We process personal information
in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, for visitors in the
EU/UK, the GDPR.
1.Information we collect
- Account & order details — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password where you have an account.
- Activity — your enrolments, course progress, and the reflections you save inside the tools. These are yours: nothing you write is graded, and nobody reads it unless you share it.
- Your Salon library — the quotes you save and the journal entries you write about them. They are visible only to you in the library, and deleting an entry removes it from your journal.
- Payment information — handled by our payment provider (below). We do not see or store your card details.
- The teaser list — if you request the free month of A Year with the Muses or ’n Jaar met die Muse, we store the email you give us so we can send it, and to tell you about new editions. Every such email carries a link that unsubscribes you in one click.
- Communications — emails you send us and our replies. No third-party advertising trackers.
2.How we use it
- To create your account, process your order or subscription, and give you access to what you bought.
- To send receipts, download links, welcome and renewal emails, and essential notices.
- To respond to enquiries, improve the platform, and meet legal and tax obligations.
3.Who we share it with
Only what is necessary, with trusted providers acting on our behalf: PayFast processes
South African card payments (the charge appears as FlourishTalk, our parent company); transactional email
and hosting providers deliver our messages and store our data. We do not sell your
personal information to anyone.
4.The Salon Community & content you post
- What other members see — your display name, initials avatar, and anything you post on the Gallery Wall or in the art rooms. Your email and account details are never shown.
- Moderation — posts that breach the house rules may be hidden or removed. Reports are reviewed by us.
- Your rights — you may ask us to correct or delete your community profile and posts at any time.
5.Keeping it safe, and for how long
We use hashed passwords, time-limited download links and restricted access. We keep your information while
your account or order is active, and thereafter only as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes.

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing:

session and the storage necessary for the site to work — nothing for advertising.
